The Kansas Department of Commerce’s Office of Broadband Development is leading studies in six counties to evaluate costs and barriers to deploying adequate broadband, particularly Fiber‑to‑the‑Home (FTTH), and provide strategies to reduce those barriers. Broadband refers to high speed, always “on” internet access via multiple types of technologies including fiber optics, wireless, cable, digital subscriber line (DSL) and satellite.

Understanding opportunities and challenges for stakeholders throughout the counties is essential for the study and your input is greatly appreciated.
