Additional Public Meeting

The project team is hosting an additional Public Meeting to discuss changes in the roadway alignment and anticipated property impacts. As a result of this change, portions of the project may differ from what was previously presented or discussed during earlier project coordination activities. The public meeting will start a new comment period and close on December 4, 2026. The public meeting will start with a presentation at 6:15pm, allowing time for participants to arrive and be seated. Questions, individual discussions, and review of the roadway alignment will come after the presentation. Project team members onsite will include Olsson (consultant), City of Springdale, and Arkansas Department of Transportation. Why is there a second public meeting? Since initial coordination efforts, additional project development and utility coordination have resulted in changes to the proposed roadway alignment. During design, it was determined that the roadway must shift south in order to accommodate an existing electric transmission line corridor owned and operated by the local electric cooperative. This adjustment was necessary to reduce potential conflicts with transmission infrastructure while continuing to meet project design and safety requirements for the electric facilities.
